Dope Rx is a self-taught mixed media artist from Chicago, Illinois. At 15, Dope Rx was introduced to the methods that resulted in creating unique and creative colors by his father who was a master colorist. Following this interest into adulthood, Dope Rx has continued to create vibrant, one-of-a-kind pigments which are represented in his art.

In addition to creating unique colors, Dope Rx’s work also showcases his inventive style, Hyper Velvet - where the pigments appear to be textured like velvet.
